As if the terminus “Windows Phone 7 Series” wasn’t square sufficiency, Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) is pushing its latest operating system at “life maximizers.”

What exactly is a life maximizer? Well, Microsoft has created elaborate characters that illustrate ideal WP7S customers. They are nearing their 40s, have tweed collar jobs, need Exchange support but distillery want to be able to manipulation Facebook and GMail. In other words, a mobile professional who wants to use their gimmick for employment and play. I have newsworthiness for you Microsoft: the butt that wants that employment/play balance is essentially every smartphone owner. I’m sick of companies sculpture out such narrow niches for their devices – Palm (NSDQ: PALM)’s ma ads for the Pre were disgusting – because the work/play elements should be board stake by now. The major platforms should rich person no trouble switching between a mobile edition of Outlook and Gmail, or being able to swordplay 3D games. You tin differentiate with your hardware and diligence ecosystem.

Oh yeah, tactile property free to tell me what platform you think “life minimizers” use.
