The Guardian has reported that Carphone Warehouse is now oblation two free airline business tickets to citizenry that buy a Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre before the remainder of Jan.
The suggestion therefore is that not many of the devices rich person been sold, compared to the volumes that were expected – which is a puzzler since every follow-up I’ve seen praised the Pre in many respects.
That said, my personal view was that everything on the UI was great, but as soon as you pressed a push button that made a call option in to the operating system (e.g. ’computer storage contact’), things slowed down feather quite a bit…
I oasis’t yet seen the details of exactly what the deal is, but I’d suspect it’s going to be rather restrictive – much like those deals you see in newspapers from time to time. If retailers are able to give away a PS3 with a device on contract, then perhaps we could estimate the two tickets ar maybe worth around Ј200-300 in value between them? That’s not departure to get you too far methinks
