Titanium alloy + computer-aided design design = Titanium iPhone 3GS with killer MacBook Pro looks

You mightiness not think Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s iPhone 3GS case needs any kind of cosmetic updates, but there are citizenry out there that just aren’t satisfied with the glossy plastic backrest adorning the iconic Apple smartphone. Unlike most of these people, single mortal actually had the resources to do something about it – and he managed to create what is possibly the single most impressive-look iPhone 3GS we’ve ever laid eyes on. The iPhone 3GS you see here has been retrofitted, by a guy cable named Martin, with a custom casing fashioned out of a Ti alloy that gives the aging smartphone a new look befitting its Cupertino-based design bloodline.

We’ve said before how dated the iPhone 3GS looks in comparison to hot new smartphones like the HTC Legend and the Motorola (NYSE: MOT test) DROID. Those gorgeous touchscreens dominating each gimmick’s movement face and sleek designs that father’t have us waxing nostalgic for 2008 really highlight how long in the tooth the iPhone 3GS has become. The next-multiplication iPhone (iPhone 4G) really needs to step it up, or risk losing market share to Android.

Thankfully, there ar folks out there willing to appearance Apple how things should be done. The Ti alloy in this iPhone 3GS is said to be “RF transparent,” which means it’ll allow all cellular signals to pass through without any of the interference that an aluminium casing would causal agent. We lovemaking the sharp angles and MacBook Pro-esque design esthetic as well. Apple’s stallion calculation batting order has adopted the aluminum unibody look, wherefore not the iPhone?
