Samsung’s 20nm NAND Flash memory promises up to fifty higher speeds

Samsung has unveiled the manufacture’s first 20nm-based NAND photoflash chips that will be used in SD memory cards and embedded computer memory solutions.

According to the Korean troupe, exploitation the new technology, these chips give fifty higher productivity than 30nm MLC NAND with a read speeding of 20MB/s and write speed at around 10MB/s.

I’ll stopover here to drop my cents to the game. Just because read/write speeds of the Flash computer memory modules ar 50% faster, it doesn’t mean value some new devices volition actually run fifty faster, all other things organism equal. It’s a measure forward, there are no doubts about it, but Flash memory is already super fast — usually, a more powerful central processing unit and more available random-access memory are responsible for the earphone’s performance improvements.

Back to Samsung. The troupe is currently sampling the card game (chips) to its customers. Once released, the new modules and SD card game volition be available in capacities ranging from 4GB to 64GB.
