Earlier this year Nokia said that they weren’t departure to pain in the neck attendance Mobile River World Congress 2010, citing that they would rather spend their marketing budget on their own event, Nokia World. Looks like Finland partially changed their head; Nokia (New York Stock Exchange: NOK) is departure to be in Barcelona during Mobile World Congress, but they’re not departure to have a cubicle at the briny issue. They’re mise en scene up shop class at “Once” (Organizacion Nacional De Ciegos De Espaсa; translates to National Organization of the Spanish Blind), a shortstop walk away from the main lobby. Be there between 09.00 and 19.00 on February 15 and 16. This is their pitch:
As an option to the randomness and crowds at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, invited guests can relax on comfy sofas, enjoy delicious food and drinks as they discuss the manufacture and net with their peers — all courtesy of Nokia.
For those of you unable to attend Mobile River World Congress, you tin watch the event live at events.nokia.com/mwc. Most of the IntoMobile team volition be at Mobile River World Congress, I’m still on the fence as to whether or not I’ll be there, but either means, most everything that is announced at Mobile World Congress ends up hitting the marketplace at least 3 months later so I’m not really missing much except cheap, and absolutely amazing Spanish people wine.
