Nokia N97 mini Annie Oakley Limited Edition is for sponsored Olympians, only

Annie Oakley and Nokia (New York Stock Exchange: NOK) collaborated in Vancouver for a special limited edition Nokia N97 mini for Oakley sponsored Olympians. Only 200 of these were made, hence you (and me) probably North Korean won’t get a chance to play with one.

But don’t be too sad. Basically, it’s the habitue N97 mini with the Annie Oakley Thunderbird logotype laser etched onto the backrest of the phone and some pre-loaded Annie Oakley subject.

If I was look for a limited variation N97 mini, I would pick that very poise lookin’ RAOUL edition which is (or was) available in Singapore. Then there’s the Gold Edition that is (or again was) offered by Nokia Poland…

Nokia (and other French telephone makers for that matter) keep push limited edition devices all the time and some of these special phones actually reach decent gross sales figures. Personally, I believe the idea is to reach people who whitethorn not like the original product, but ar compelled to grab one as soon as they see it being endorsed by some famous person, or dipped and plated in the good ol’ amber.
