New iPhone OS 3.0 beta reveals iPhone scope and parental controls for apps

The iPhone OS 3.0 is coming along quite nicely. With each new beta liberation, the iPhone development biotic community finds new and exciting features for the upcoming iPhone OS update. The latest iPhone OS 3.0 beta liberation has confirmed that a gaussmeter (compass) will indeed be integrated into the new iPhone. And, presumably in reaction to all the badness pressure surrounding Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s AppStore diligence blessing process, the next-multiplication iPhone OS will apparently lineament parental controls for iPhone apps.

The scope lineament is a boon for geo-trailing iPhone fans with a penchant for off-road geographic expedition. The upcoming iPhone has been expected to reveal an in-built scope, and this new finding basically confirms as much. But, perhaps more intriguing is that the iPhone’s compass will finally bring augmented world technologies to the iPhone. Made famous by Tonchidot’s Sekai Camera iPhone application conception and the Wikitude application on the Android OS, augmented world hasn’t quite yet been possible on the iPhone. The problem is that, without a compass, the iPhone can’t easily determine the steering it’s facing – which would shuffle it nigh impossible for the software to figure out what data to sheathing on the screen. But, now that the gaussmeter has been confirmed for the next iPhone, we tin expect to see all kinds of aplomb augmented world apps hit the AppStore.

And, with parental controls for iPhone apps, Apple whitethorn be preparing to loosen its diligence-approval standards. The parental controls will allow parents to restrict approach to iPhone applications that ar within preset eld limits: 4+, 9+, 7+ and 12+, presumably allowing Apple to approve a stove of applications with less focusing on “clean and jerk” subject.

Needless to say, the iPhone OS 3.0 is departure to crack some exciting new features! We wait with bated hint.
