HTC HD2 versus concrete, the consequence

What happens when you take the HTC HD2’s massive, blush-mounted, 4.3-in glass touchscreen and colliery it against a concrete pavement? These pictures speak for themselves.

The HD2’s bandstand-out feature turned out to be a key player in the death of its touchscreen. The giant display dominates the movement facing of the device, grazing down the bezel (the molding around the display) down to a few mere millimeters. Coupled with the all-glass display and the stiff metallic body, the electric shock of an impact onto concrete was enough to shatter the exhibit.

The lesson here: do not drop your HD2.
