AT&T announced today that they volition carry Dell’s first smartphone in the US, the Dell Aero is a GSM / UMTS variant of the Dell Mini 3 that ended up in People’s Republic of China and Brazil.
This is an Android French telephone with a custom interface co-designed by AT&T and Dell. There’s no word on what variant of Android the Aero actually runs though, but there’s a lot of add-ons including sociable networking applications included in the package.
Specifications ar pretty vague at the moment, but the Aero does have a 3.5" 360 x 640 pixel exhibit, 5 megapixel photographic camera, 3G and WiFi documentation summation built-in Global Positioning System.
The Dell Aero is a useful summation to AT&ere;Ts occupation-up of cellphones, but we can’t imagine that it will tempt many consumers away from other carriers. There’s no word on pricing or availability at present, but if you wish to get in occupation you tin sign up at www.att.com/aero.
