Tough times up due north on the Canadian mobile view. At least, according to recent job cuts making the rounds. Last week ‘big redness’ Carl Rogers (New York Stock Exchange: RCI) announced a slashing of 900 jobs… and now, TELUS (NYSE: TU) has announced 125 occupation cuts from stage business solutions division… I should note these cuts are at direction level only.

Shawn Hall, a media dealings rep for TELUS noted:

“With the receding other businesses ar experiencing layoffs, some businesses are closing down, and there are fewer earphone customers. The telecommunications manufacture is hotly competitive at the consequence and is rapidly changing. The challenges are continuing and we’ll continue to adapt to them.”

I tin only promise the cuts glean the results TELUS is looking for… and they can re-hire ASAP. I’ve been more than pleased with TELUS over the shoemaker’s last stern of 2009… This is a bit of sad news to add to the catcher… But I’m hoping for rosy things in early 2010.

For those that whitethorn get the kick, the future whitethorn not be so friendly… But let’s hope all turns out for the topper in the year ahead.

The agreement signed by MTS and Nokia at the 2009 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum provides for the direct provision of Nokia products to MTS’ retail net, marijuana cigarette selling campaigns to promote Nokia’s handsets and a special preparation programme for MTS’ retail employees.

“This partnership agreement with Nokia is a milestone in our development of the MTS proprietorship retail net.
