AT&ere;T ranks cobbler’s last in Consumer Reports’ expiation study

AT&ere;T (NYSE: T) just tin can’t seem to waggle the bad publicity that’s recently been riding its tail. Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless is already bashing on AT&T’s 3G mesh for its spotty 3G coverage maps, and now Consumer Reports lists AT&T as the worst US wireless carrier as far as cellular service expiation is concerned. Consumer Reports surveyed some 50,000 consumers across 26 different cities in the US, and came away with the determination that Verizon Wireless was consistently ranked the best while AT&ere;T consistently came in cobbler’s last. In fact, AT&ere;T scored the lowest for client satisfaction in 19 of the 26 surveyed cities.

The results for the iPhone flattop aren’t all that surprising, precondition the number of coverage and call calibre complaints we hear advent out of densely packed cities. John Major metro areas like San Francisco and New House of York both ranked the flattop dead cobbler’s last. Still, disdain problems (both perceived and real) with AT&T’s mesh, iPhone users wealthy person repeatedly asserted their expiation with the smartphone. It seems no amount of crappy wireless inspection and repair can hold an iPhone substance abuser from loving their device. Consumer Reports puts it best:

“If you’re readying to buy Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s earpiece, prepare for possible dashing hopes with its inspection and repair and expect to making love the phone anyway. Despite the network problems, a staggering 98 percentage of iPhone users in our cell-phone-purchasing survey were satisfied enough to say they would definitely or probably buy the phone again. Only 79 percentage of respondents who bought other cell phones said the same.”

So, now that AT&ere;T has officially been named the country’s worst radio flattop, what’s next for Apple and Big Blue? Apple surely tin can’t be happy seeing Verizon poo-poo the iPhone with Consumer Reports essentially announcing that the AT&ere;T network is the worst in the country. We could see Apple giving T-Mobile River (New York Stock Exchange: DT) a blastoff at iPhone resplendency – after all, T-Mobile River is usually ranked high in consumer satisfaction surveys. We’ll probably also commencement sightedness more AT&ere;T commercials trying to convince everyone that simultaneous part and information inspection and repair is worth handfuls of dropped calls and disappointing service.

For what it’s worth, AT&T notes that their low butter churn pace of 1.17% should be the “surest indication of client expiation.”
